Madhavrao Scindia Golf Tournament held at DLF Golf Club

GURGAON, Feb 12: Some of the leading golf enthusiasts participated in the Madhavrao Scindia Golf Tournament held at DLF Golf Course here. DLF Club executive director Aakash Ohri said, "Golf, as a sport, was very close to Madhavrao Scindia, and this event is a very small tribute to him."

Jyotiraditya Scindia, union minister of state, Ministry of Power, called the event a celebration of his father's spirit and sportsmanship. "I had a really great time today, and the golfers had a good round of golf, too."

Priyadarshini Raje Scindia said, "I'm very happy to be here. The golf tournament is celebrated annually in the memory of my father-in-law. It also helps bring all our friends and family together."

Nikhil Chopra, cricketer, said that he makes sure he attends the tournament every year. "I absolutely love golf and I had a fantastic time here. Now, my nine-year-old son also wants to be a golfer."

The tournament saw Manav Sardana being presented with the winner's trophy by Madhavi Raje Scindia. He said, "I have a great passion for golf and this event is a prestigious one."

Canara Bank Chairman & Managing Director Mr R K Dubey, and Mr V S Krishna Kumar, Executive Director, handed over the Winners Trophy of the Mixed Doubles Event to Tarun and Ashwini Ponappa.

Alaso present on the occasion were Prakash Padukone and Vimal Kumar, President, Karnataka Badminton Association.
